Small houses - an artistic exploration of tiny housing aesthetics
Rooted in my background as an architect, this collection of small house illustrations reflects my fascination with imagining new forms of living in increasingly constrained urban spaces. Influenced by modernist and Japanese design principles, my drawings aim to create a balance between functionality, aesthetic beauty, and a deep sense of coziness.
What started as simple sketches on the corners of notebooks has grown into a diverse collection created with various techniques—watercolours on recycled paper, digital renderings on an iPad, and more. Each illustration aims to go beyond mere composition, conveying a sense of warmth, connection to nature, and the beauty of small-scale living.
Each illustration explores the potential of small houses to serve as both functional objects within the urban landscape and as elements of beauty and comfort. This project is an ongoing collection, a space for imagination and creativity within the limits of urban reality.
